I finally got around to making Aipom. I apologize for the lighting in the pictures, I'll try to get some better pictures for ya when time allows :D We were kind of in a hurry, and I was also weeding and watering the vegetable garden before it got dark... Hopefully these are enough to help you with the pattern.
The pattern hasn't been tested by anyone but me, so if you find any mistakes, please let me know so I can correct them as soon as possible :D

Sc in next chain, hdc in next chain. Skip 2 chs and slip stitch to last ch.
F/O and weave ends. Match the two pieces with right sides facing out and whip stitch around the outside edges.
Final Assembly:
I HIGHLY recommend pinning all pieces together before sewing to make sure you have all pieces you need in the places you like and that everything is to your liking.
Sew head to body (matching the two ‘neck openings’) Sew ears to either side of the head as shown, positioning as desired. Sew the face inset to the front of the face, evenly placed between the ears. Some ‘stretching’ may be required to get the desired shape exactly as you want it, pinning first is very helpful.
Sew the body inset to the front center of the body as shown.
Sew arms to either side of the upper body near the ‘neck’.
Sew the feet to the bottom (closed) end of the leg as shown. Sew open end of leg to the bottom of the body positioning as you like.
Sew Tail to back of body centered at the bottom.
Sew the points on top of the head, centered between the ears.
Eyes and mouth are fairly simply shapes, a larger circle of white with a smaller circle of black. Sew on as shown. Mouth is white felt, sew on as shown and using some black sewing thread, create the ‘lines’ for teeth as shown.
Using black thread, create the ‘toe’ line buy running a few stitches around the front of the foot to the center as shown.

ps your hands must be magic to have made this fantastic pokemon plushi and once again thanks i owe you about 10000000 for saving me from shopping for about 9 hours online oh and sorry the comment is so long
seems to me you are either varying your tension while working, or perhaps not keeping count of your rows. With practice, your parts will be more even in size :D
This pattern was amazingly easy to follow, I never had a moment where I couldn't understand it. The only problem I had was on assembly. I pinned all 19 parts where ideal but upon stitching together, (and removing 3x) I could not get the arms and legs symmetrical. He ended up a little pigeon toed and one arm pointing off to the side. Do you have hints to make assembly easier?
Mostly it's a matter of going slowly with the stitching, and not removing your pins until you've gotten the piece on their fairly securely.
It takes a little 'practice' I think, but in general, I just stop every few stitches and double check that I'm not going off my desired placement, so I can make those tiny adjustments as I go. :D
I love this pattern...I am doing it for my new nephew. I am having a hard time understanding the part about the face insert...what do you mean by: Turn work so that you’re working along the unused side of the chain.
What do you mean by that or where am I supposed to be doing those stitches.
Thanks,
Christina

When you work the first line of sc across your foundation chain, it leaves a row of 'loops' at the bottom, with this pattern, you turn your work around so that you now will be working across those 'unused' loops along the foundation chain.
I hope that helps... I don't know if there is a youtube video available to help illustrate that, but you can look and see :D
hello...so im making the aipom right now. and let me start by saying he is one of my favorite pokemon so thank you.... right now im at the head and i have just completed rows 1 through 17. im concencerned i might be doing it wrong. is it suspose to look a little samll at this poin?
Well, the head should be wider than the body, but remember that a good deal of the 'shape' is from the stuffing, not the crochet work.
I would mention that you can count your stitches to makes sure that the round counts are meeting up with the numbers in ( ) at the end of each round, so that you'll know you're getting the right amount of stitches.
Some of the finished size of your doll will depend on the type of yarn you're using, and also your tension. Some people crochet more loosely, some much tighter... so their overall size will vary from what I get.
Try stuffing the part you have already finished, and see if it doesn't start looking a bit more like you want. If not, let me know... and maybe we can figure out what's going on :D
i think my problem is the tension i crochet very tight. probably a side affect from being a guy.
do you think it might be beneficial to maybe go up a hook size?
just comparing mine to yours i can tell my stitches are way tighter
also how tall/wide is he? cause i also might be thinking he is bigger than he actually is
well mine was about 8 inches tall... as long as your stitches are consistent in all your parts, he should be fine, just perhaps a bit smaller.
You can certainly try using a larger hook... as long as your stitches are still tight enough to prevent the stuffing from coming through, it's all good :D
ok. im a perfectionists when it comes to my art i have a app on my phone for counting stitches lol.
yeash i thought it was bigger. well i just might finish with the G hook. and maybe make another sometime later.
thanks for your help
oh also not sure if you know this but there is someone on ebay selling your patterns
Greenangel:
I've seen one person selling something similar to my pattern of PICHU, but it's really pretty awful so I'm not worried. But if you do know of anyone selling my patterns please send me the ebay seller name to WolfDreamer@live.com I'll handle it from there :D And thank you very much for noticing :D
thats how i found your site. i saw the aipom plushie pattern along with about 5 others. i reported them this was about a month ago. i decided to search for the pattern to see if someone already had it. they used your pictures and everything. they dont have them posted anymore
thank you for letting me know. I wasn't aware of that particular seller. But obviously your report did some good since they aren't there anymore :D
I very much appreciate you doing that, and I'll keep a better watch on ebay in the future! I've had to talk to a few Esty sellers, but they've all been very nice about removing my patterns.
With kind people like you out there, things generally work out for the best :D
I wanted to let you know that I did find an error on the arm part of the pattern. On row 14, it says to decrease over next 3 sc instead of next 2 sc.
I love all your patterns by the way. Thank you so much for sharing them.
I love all your patterns! I just wish someone would come up with a pattern for the Master Ball! My grandson keeps asking me to make it for him but I am not sure how to handle the band that goes part way around it.
hey i was wondering if you could look up a show called pucca i would love for you to make her its simple looking and you are really good at crochet
blessings, Katy
well I could do that, but instead, why not use this pattern? http://greatamigurumi.blogspot.com/2010/04/pucca.html"
I love to design patterns, but I always feel that if there's already a good one out there (like that) for free, why re-invent the wheel? :D I'd rather spend the time designing patterns that don't exist already, or are hard to come by. :D
hi!im making hi doll today, but i think the head is more bigger than te body.is it how it suppose to be
p/s:sorry for the wrong spelling...hope u reply..
Yes, it's supposed to be that way. If you look at the photos you can see the head is somewhat larger than the body... which is how the character was drawn. :D
I have to say your patterns for pokemon have literaly made my day. They are amazing!!!!!
Hello there! First, YOU ARE AWESOME!!! I am getting started on the Mario plushie tonight but took some time looking around your site at all of your terrific art...your talent is certainly amazing!! Have a wonderful day and thank you SO VERY MUCH!! I cannot express my gratitude enough!!
